I had the pleasure to comment together with Markus Gärtner a hitherto unpublished uniform series, edited in the 1830s, with 56 plates in total. This series covers horse troops (not only cavalry, but also artillery) mainly of France, but also of Naples (1812) and Poland (1831). An interesting fact is, that Richard Knötel used some of the plates for his Uniformenkunde.

The editor of the book, Zeughaus-Verlag in Berlin, also publishes an English translation of the work, you find sample pages and the opportunity to order the book at link

When you order, be sure to use the right website. Just received a message to re=order one of two books because the last one Markus posted was not on the US site. So I ordered it from the Austrian site. They did not charge me the proper postage so all this time, nothing has been done with either of my orders. To be sure- Make sure you look and see if you have enough postage for shipping to your country.

They could have just charged me the difference- but didn't.

I think you meant my post about the book edited by the Militaria Verlag in Vienna. They have different sites, that's true. But here it is the "Berliner Zinnfiguren" and they sell into the whole world – I think I read some good remarks here on TMP about their postages.

Yes, Markus. That is where the book was offered for sale in the link you provided. I have been to Berliner Zinnfiguren a couple of times. My wallet was much lighter when leaving that store both times! Love their printed catalog. Great store. How they can pack it all in there is amazing! Did not see your book listed there at all on their Website under New Books. Besides, I like to support the Heer Museum in Vienna. Perhaps you can talk to Stefan Rest about this for me? Really would like a copy of the book but do not want be charged twice for it.
