I have come to the great hive mind of TMP for this question, besides Triton/Red Eagle, who would manufacture 1/1200 or even 1/600-700 steam fleets for the Crimean War? Thanks all Dave |

Another question: Were there any Russian or Turkish ships there to oppose them? If not, that's possibly why we don't see more makers do them. (Any Naval Battles?) |

Bay Area Yards makes 1/600 hulls for several steam SOLS and Frigates. I've built a number of them and added a lot of scratchbuilds. Hard to find deck plans for this era. In my eyes in this era ships look even more alike so I am not fussy about authenticity. Bay's HMS Hero for example does a lot of duty as other ships. Google "list of steam powered ships of the line" and you will find a list of Russian ships. Turkish ships require a little more digging. I know they had a steam three decker alongside their ironclads in the 1860's |
