Interesting article. Why then aren't more Irish rebellion figures modeled wearing trench coats? Looking at the Footsore range, of the twenty IRA minis made, only five are wearing trench coats. |

In defence of the footsore range, I guess a lot of IRA men and women didn't wear trench coats. A few more in the range would be nice though! |

I would hazard a guess that the trench-coat would be more common among flying columns composed of experienced men 'on the run' and/or operating outside their locality. A force operating locally might be more likely to have civilian attire, to more easily assemble and merge back into regular life e.g. members of the local IRA/Volunteer Companies, whether providing the main force in an ambush/barracks attack, acting as scouts, or a blocking force, or as shotgun-armed reinforcements to the main force. |

Bonnaught, that's a good point. Perhaps Footsore needs to add a Flying Column pack or two? |
