Has anyone played the Carnevale game? Lovecratfian monsters in 18th century Venice. I like the figures and the look of the game but wondered if anyone had actually played the game

I've played a few games. Interesting setting, fantastic mini's but I think what I like best is the dexterity rolls that really allow you to try all kinds of fun acrobatic movements.

For instance (if I remember correctly as I don't have the book in front of me), if I wanted to jump from a balcony down to a barrel at dock level then spring onto a gondola I could roll acrobatic attempts with a -1 to each successive roll. At any point if I fail a roll the move stops there. The authors encourage vertical movement as well as horizontal.

Another fun aspect is the objective card deck: Gain 1 Victory Point for killing an enemy with the drown action, Gain 1 Victory Point for having 3 friendly models at a higher elevation than your opponents models, etc. When one of these is achieved you pull another card and keep going.

Fun game worth trying!

I like the sound of that, sounds a lot more dynamic than many other games, So parkour in Venice. Hmm I wonder if they played Assasin's Creed

I love the game, see a post I made a few weeks ago with a picture of the setup I had at Fall-In.
