guys the german army used the faun slt50-2 elefant tank transporter late 70 (1976 onwards i think ?) my question what did they use before this to carry their m47,m48, even leopards 1 tanks ?

Trains? US tank transporters? Sorry, not very familiar with this niche, but imagine both of the above may be correct, especially when using US tanks.
