Write up of another test game we played recently, this time its Justice Mills, another of Montrose's battles from his very successful 1644/45 campaign in Scotland using For King and Parliament rules with our Celtic Fringe house rules. The figures are 10mm from Pendraken. For a change I have tried to write it in vaguely C17th speak, with comments on the actual game in italics below the pictures. Here is a link to the blog: link I hope you find the C17th speak comprehensible! ;) |

I tried Google Translate to no effect :) For King and Parliament and it's cousin, To the Strongest are great games and Montrose is an interesting character. |

Nice report! Can you outline your Celtic Fringe house rules for "For King and Parliament" please or tell me where I can find them? I've been interested in doing the campaigns of Montrose for years and I have the "For King and Parliament" rules so your amendments would be very useful. All the best, George. |

Thnaks for the comments, like the Goggle Translate reference! :) You can find a copy of DGuy's Celtic Fringe rules here: link Not the latest version but pretty much the same as the current ones. We're hoping to have a booklet covering Montrose's 1644-45 campaign completed early next year. |

Hi, Many thanks for the link to your Celtic Fring rules, I was able to download a copy OK. I hope you get your Montrose's campaign book published next year and would buy one once it's out. |
