They do look good. It sounds like you are going to try to play them in the three lines Romans of this era usually fought in. This should be interesting, because most rules seem to say, "They are Romans, they cost extra points and they fight extra efficiently, but we just form them into a block or line and don't mess with the three-line thing." The Republican Romans in Saga are very strong in combat, and the Quincunx ability lets you do line exchange. Gladius and Pila make the warriors very strong. They do poorly against armies with lots of shooting ability (like Numidians) |
