"Mattel jumped on the mid 1980s mini figure bandwagon with GUTS! This extensive line of three inch painted military figures hit stores the same year as Battle Beasts and several other mini figure lines. They were inspired at least in part by the GI Joe figures and cartoons. GUTS! come in six themes with ten poses each; Green Berets, Ground Troops; Jungle Fighters; Akido Force; Laser Fighters and Underwater Deomlition Team. All cold war tropes of the 1980s. Each individual figure has a nickname or title but as far as I know there was never a cartoon or comic that told their stories. They came in 2-packs, 5-packs and 10-packs. Their was also a vehicle…"
