Trying to find some rules/input on setting up a 6mm microarmor campaign consisting of several battles utilizing modern TOEs Any ideas? |

How 'epic" do you want? Old copies of CDQ 9 have the Late Great Unfought War, basically Red Storm Rising. Combined Arms, the Command Decision Modern (1985) had a Campaign in Jutland Really depends on what size forces you want to commadn on the table. Go one to two command levels up from there to generate scnarios |

no larger than probably "Division" to "Corp" size. The actual battles will be "Company" to "BN" |

Race to the Rhine is excellent. We have done it twice to completion. The scale however is one vehicle/stand equals a platoon. It also requires 3 players… though 6 is better. The engagements are reinforced regiments for the Soviets against reinforced battalions for Nato. Great fun. Book keeping is reasonable and the games are easy to setup quickly. The air system is quite interesting and works well. You will need a referee for some interpretation… Surprisingly, the Soviets always win! (Every player is a Soviet… This is a head to head matchup of 3 Soviet Generals trying to get to the Rhine first. The opposing players control the Nato forces against the opponent who is set to fight that day's battle.) There is also a similar campaign set on the North German Plain that features Brits and Dutch and the like. We haven't tried it yet. Joe Collins |
