My latest rules review looks at Witchfinder General (seems only appropriate seeing as it is Halloween). WG is ECW meets European folklore. A very enjoyable game, only downside is that it is OOP, and hard to track down link

In a discussion earlier this year, in which I was able to get a copy, the designer said that he had "future plans" to republish this.

That's good news, fingers crossed that it comes to fruition. Thanks Murphy.

Good news indeed, Murphy. My regular gaming mate and myself played Witchfinder a lot, a few years ago, and are just getting back into it. The scenarios have a high re-playability factor, and others can be created by kit-bashing Warhammer Skirmish scenarios, amongst others.

Eric was going to bring out a supplement -more horrors, more scenarios; and I hope he does re-release the original game and follow up [big HINT Eric], or a least get the stuff up on Wargames Vault.

I believe the designer had planned a supplement / addition to the game, but I don't think it ever saw publication. Does anyone know if it's still in development?

The writer should put them out as a pdf on Wargame Vault. Any updated versions could be easily distributed in the future.

There's a trickle down set of rules called Witchin'Hour hazardgamedesign.com/?page_id=77

The author*may* still have a few copies left try info@dashingdicegames.co.uk

The supplement wasn't released, but I have heard rumours that the rules and supplement may surface at some point in the future

If you like this game, there's a new one called "Devil in the Wilderness" you might be interested in (it's Salem-based – the author was a 17th century reenactor from the US):

It's very chaotic and fun!

The author also knows his witch trial history.
