For those who might not have watched… EXCELLENT TV series.
Great actors. Great combat… wish there had been more!
And Theme… there you go!

Yes, I really enjoyed Black Sails highly recommended.

It really was a great series…until the end.

I really enjoyed the series.

Great to see they included a lot of historical facets (wind direction, broadsides and boarding).
Probably a subjective matter (that will upset some) , therefore little point arguing over it.
Always best to say why you like something as that might chime with a reader's own wants and thus help them.

The theme tune and title sequence are worthy of special note too (in my opinion).

I appreciated the end too. Very good.

Modern TV is great in that there is more choice than back in the 1980s.

Not sure I was going to enjoy it at first. The plentiful boo…llion kept me going but now I'm really enjoying the story (I'm into season 2).

I watched the first episode or two, and it just seemed to be a pirate-themed T&A show.

Thresher0125 Oct 2022 7:00 a.m. PST

I enjoyed it as well.

A superb series.

I need to watch it again, since I'm not sure I've seen all of the episodes, but did watch most of them.

Great to see some of the original characters from history playing parts in the show, even though not all of their actions were historical.

You say that like that's a bad thing, 79thPA. ;-}

Well, I certainly didn't mean to give that impression.

The highlight for me was seeing a sailing ship actually use a spring on an anchor cable to swing around an unengaged side to fire a broadside. I too found the end disappointing, except for the genesis of Long John Silver.

The Mrs was less than amused when when we were at the beach last year and I said I was going to take walk and look for the
F-tent.

If you like lighter fare, there is always The Buccaneers (with Captain Dan Tempest… ;-)

Great show. I might watch it again as there isn't much on worth watching.
