Basing troops soon. Did the Americans have one standard or 2? How about the Mexicans did they carry their National flag and their Regiments Colors? Did Militia's carry a Standard as well? Purchased my Flags from TACG. Thanks in advance. |

US infantry units carried a National Color with unit number on it and a Regimental Color. Dragoons carried a single Standard with companies carrying their identifying guidon. Volunteer units carried colors of their own devising, frequently bearing elements of their state flags, and could carry one of the many variants of the national flag instead. Mexican units generally carried only a single color, but not a national flag per se. A wide variety of "national flags" could be flown over towns and fortifications, and sometimes by milicia units. Hope that helps! TVAG |

Thanks TVAG. 1) Got my flags from you today! 2) Got my Mexican Buildings from Peter Pig. 3) Ordered and pick up at Fall In! my Santa Anna rules and Anton Adams book from On Military Matters. I guess you can say that I am all in. |
