It's amazing what you can do in two days, stuck at home – I've bunged up my knee. I've finished culling, re-organising & (horrors!) re-basing my last French corps. That gives me 2 line, 1 Guard & a Confederation Corps for Napoleon.

Each corps has infantry, cavalry & artillery integral to it. I can use a single corps for a small game, two for a larger & all 4 for a Show game.

The French Napoleonics are my oldest figures, in general. Plastic & metal 1/72 & 20mm, some painted 40 years ago. Not the best painting but I have a great affection for them.

Great stuff! Thanks for posting. Hope the knee gets better….but not before you get some more work done!😊

Wonderful, incredible, so many nice figures… I particularly like your 3rd Hussars!

Really good stuff. Inspriational as well. Now to get back to my own 1/72 project.

They still look darn good! It's funny. My own original Naps are Der Kriegspielers from Custom Cast. Got them back in the 70's. We gamed a ton of battles in Spain. I still have the figs. I had to repair some barrels as they were fragile. I've added some Hinton Hunt to it. I always enjoy seeing pics of your armies. Just puts me in a better mood. Being 1/72 with 20mm (my favorite scale) just makes it icing on the cake!

Thanks

John

I am looking forward to Naps being a focus for the next few years. I'm thinking for the typical "garage game" we continue to use 'General d'Armee' but for bigger games, give SHAKO a go. I'm impressed by the relatively quick & simple yet satisfying games we've been having using a SHAKO-variant for the SYW.

That's the variant in the 1st edition of the rules?

Thanks

No, John. The SHAKO/1 SYW rules were a bit bare & needed a few ingredients to make them more….SWY-ish?

With some great ideas from an American & a Welsh internet friends, I've got a variant we smilingly call, "Tricorne".

Want them?

Sure!

That would be great!

Thanks

John
