Adding on to my pod racing project, bought the Micro Machines figure sets for skirmish gaming in SW universe.

What do folks recommend for skirmishr rules for this please?

Thanks,
Mark

There are 2 I have used:

Star Grunt 2

2 hour Wargames 5150

I'd recommend Galactic Heroes from Wiley Games.

I second the vote for Galactic Heroes! I ran a game of GH using my Legions miniatures and they worked out great. Much, much easier play and not getting bogged down with an ever-growing stack of game cards was refreshing. Galactic Heroes is easy to learn, and makes for a fun game for all. (No, I don't work for Wiley Games, but I do like the Fistful of Lead rules).

Galactic Heroes and Herkybird's sets are great. Especially the latter for Solo games.

There is a nice set of STar Wars rules for FUBAR for free.

I had Herkybird's bookmarked already and have downloaded them to try out, thanks.

Will look at other ones too though.

I've heard nice things said about Blasters and Bulkheads.

Beasts of War…now Called On Tabletop, had a contest for a simple rule system which can be used at a convention several years ago. One guy was the winner and came up a really cool and fun…oh and easy set of rules. He broke them down by troop types for the mega Battle of Hoth Game. A bit difficult to find but well worth a look. I created the stats for that Fubar variant. Another talented gent created the cards for the Star wars variant. I modified it to run a big battle variant for my 10mm Clone wars game. However, given a choice I would play Wiley Games Galactic heroes for skirmish and Wiley Games Bigger battles for large games. I have run them multiple times and love them. Fast, fun and flavorful. The author also has free character sheets that allow you to enter info on the PDF and then print it off. His Codex Galactica in Galactic Heroes 2nd edition also includes Star Wars units rated up. Easy peasy.

Thanks

John

Planet 28 2nd Ed. would be my recommendation. wargamevault.com pay what you want. :D
