I went to the Chicago Toy Soldier Show last weekend and I made a wonderful find at the Hobby Bunker dealer table: a 1/32 scale (54mm) Nile River paddleboat to use in my 54mm Sudan games. This will likely make an appearance in my Khartoum game at Historicon 2023.

I didn't see it there. When did you buy it? It is a nice find.

That is one cool paddle wheeler of death!!
Jim it is very cool seeing you go to your youth roots! I remember when I met you way back when and you had your mighty 54's already in the fold. A great nostalgic trip. My youth groove is my 1/72 collections. Nothing like heading back to our early youth.
Keep up the excellent work..

What a beauty!

I was tied to my own tables so I barely had time to look for any goodies. It was really great meeting you and Joe/79thPA!

Looks like a great find, congrats!

At Huzzah 2022, I picked up a hand made river boat off a dealer table, and where I figured it would be more than was charged. Bingo! Off the table it went.

It says on a sign "Western River Express", followed underneath by "J. Farragut, Capt.", and by the size of the doors, it is probably for 20mm figures. Also, it has a fairly decent length of 14 inches, and I can probably get away with using 25/28mm figures on it. Maybe use it for some sort of fantasy or imagi-nations game.

It was too cool not to purchase.

She's a beauty! Great find, what an awesome addition to an already amazing collection. Looking forward to seeing it in upcoming AAR's.
