New range of figures from a brand new company, Fizzer Johnsons men of metal, match in very well with AB and doing items that other companies don't seem to be covering as well as the mainstream item. Really like the campaign look. link |

Get them to run an advert here and we could get to see them? They do look very impressive indeed and there are plans to expand the range ++ (which, in the current climate is impressive) |

I'd love to see someone do a range in 18mm to match AB that covers the fighting in the West Indies, especially Haitian troops. |

Agreed that they do look very nice, although how well they fit in with AB (and CGM and Xan) can only really be judged when lined up next to some of those figures. I like the ragged ones (although I like my units to be in as near to full dress as possible), and hope that they all sell well enough for the company to extend the ranges. Based on these figures they could be a company to keep an eye on. |

I am not keen on trying to build units from randomly supplied poses. Napoleonics should be rows of similarly posed figures In my minds eye. A unit that is posed willy-nilly looks like it's ready to break and run. |

I agree with Dye4minis. That's the look in contemporary battle paintings and prints of the period. Perhaps they bear little relation to the grim reality, but they are how people at the time 9who had not served) imagined battle. |

Fizzier Johnson did post on Facebook recently and the post included comparisons with AB and CGM miniatures. The models look nicely sculpted and seem to fit well with existing 18mm ranges. |

re Steamingdave2. Thanks for info, which is very useful and will help some others, but I am not on Facebook. I will just keep visiting the site every 2-3 weeks to see how things progress. |

For me all the figures are in shako. So, no help for me, I game the Glory Years of 1805 to early 1807 so all my French line infantry are in bicornes, and bearskins and my light infantry are in shakos with the side plumes. But I understand that the time frame of their figures represents the largest time period of the wars. My main army I game with is my early 1806 Prussian Army. |

Can't view the website from my location but is there any chance of Russian Mounted Jaegers since AB refuse to make them? They are known by various names. |

No, Fizzer Johnson's seems only to be producing British and French infantry at the moment: link |

Archon64 – give them a chance. Think how many decades it took for AB to grow to around 2,500 figures/variants. |

Hello Everyone I'm the fella behind Fizzer Johnson's Men of Metal and I'm happy to answer any questions. Looking at the thread above, I can see that a couple of people like to have their units in step, a mate of mine in our group has paired 2 poses from each set of 4 March Attack for figures… one pair of poses for the first unit and the other pair for the second to give him a more disciplined feel to his battalions. As for what's next… plenty more British and French will be added this side of Christmas… as soon as I can. Other nations will follow on the back of these additions. Then the range will grow as fast as possible. Without giving too much away I'll always be looking to develop alternative options to the fantastic ranges that our hobby already has to offer. Plenty of comparison photos on our Facebook page. I own a large collection of Napoleonic figures from numerous manufacturers and my Fizzer boys have been specifically designed to fit in seamlessly with the best of the rest. |

There are about 1/2 dozen short videos on youtube showing the figures. Quite impressive detail on them. |

Archon64 – there is a thread on TMP where Tony Barton revealed his upcoming "to do" list iirc, Russian Mounted Jaegers are on the list. In the meantime, old Glory 15s makes them. |

Just received my order from Fizzer Johnson's men of metal. I ordered their British Fusiliers in bearskin, their Light Infantry, and their Rocket Troop. Figures are well cast with few mold lines. They are well proportioned and look very good. Their skirmishers are great, but the best piece is their Rocket Troop, which is excellent. These will go very happily alongside the 'best of the best', which is the aim of the producer. I will be keeping an eye on this company to see what follows. |

Russian Mounted jaegers. . . . Old Glory 15s makes them. I don't see them on the website? Stephen |

I think OG15s calls them chasseurs which is French for Jaeger. Phil |

Archon64 posted "Can't view the website from my location but is there any chance of Russian Mounted Jaegers since AB refuse to make them? They are known by various names." AB is now offering 18mm Russian Mounted Jaegers! I got 16 of them last week and they're now in my painting queue. Stephen |
