14th October 1066 was a long time ago.

We ( local gamers) are doing a modest re-fight at Wessex wargames club. Southampton. Hampshire. UK

Saturday 1st October.
We are doing 3 battles in the day

Gate Fulford
Stamford bridge.
Hastings

That uses am, pm and evening sessions.
The battles are not reliant on the outcome of the others.
This is because we want to keep it simple enough to pay all 3 in a day.

If you are "about" then do please come along and watch or join in.

Games will be played nicely, using 15mm figures and scenery.
I will get some photos done too.

Sounds fun! I look forward to the pictures.

Tell Harold to keep an eye out for those sneaky Normans.

All the best

William.

I thought it went well.

1st Battle = Fulford Gate.
A small win to the English.

2nd Battle= Stamford bridge.
Viking delaying action at the bridge was brief. English win.

3rd Battle =Hastings. Went as per history and then the Normans punched a hole in the line. Signiicant Norman win.

There goes England.
