"A ‘brave hero' reached out to me, and as soon as we made sure that the money had been transferred, and the hero was already ‘safe', we posted the result. The Tigr will undergo a little rehabilitation and will be prepared for combat." Ukrianian mayor pays $5,000 USD for Tigr armored vehicle from Russian soldiers. Ukrainian Pravda: link |

How much for a new or slightly used, T-14? Need "free" deliver to be included with the "deal". |

How much for a new or slightly used, T-14? A rare beast, some claim it does not exist at all. |

It says $5,000 USD and not for a TANK. Unless edited! Pretty cheap for a runner, against modern weapons possibly used to take it out! ;) |

Rather go for a nice light AA gun |

Heedless, you need to read the entire article. Tank – $50,000 USD BMP, BMD, etc. – $25,000 USD MLRS – $15,000 USD Self-propelled guns, etc. – $10,000 USD Armoured vehicles – $5,000 USD

Quote: Details: Vanek Nikolaev's Telegram channel reported that Vitalii Kim paid US$5,000 for the Tigr. Yep, $50,000 USD for a Tank. Accepted… just went with headline. My Bad. But it ain't a Tank. Nice to hear, anyway But think Ukrainians are getting plenty for free! Would query MLRS being cheaper than a BMP ? Though presumably Russian kit. Rather dubious on re-reading. |

Reports are Russian males are also fleeing Russia to get out of having to join what the Russians call a "Military". Who knows, some may end up at the USA's Southern border ? Seems everybody else is ! |

1984 or abouts a buddy of mine worked for Raytheon and one day his boss asked can you take apart a 14.5 machine gun. seems someone bought a command (with radios) from Romania which was put on a boat which transferred it to anther boat in the waters off Greece and shipped to US. unfortunately it was just a BTR seems the CIA got shorted I saw it through the fence driving by and asked my friend hey it that a BTR where you work He said what BTR. later in year an SA 8 showed up then a ZSU lol |

Mobilization in Russia continues to face bureaucratic and logistical challenges. Russian court records suggest that years of corruption and petty theft of military supplies among Russian military personnel has rendered the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) unable to provide mobilized troops basic necessities such as protective equipment, weapons, medical, and personal supplies.[56] The BBC reported on October 10 that Russian military garrisons have sentenced at least 558 men for clothing theft, and have made 12,000 fraud convictions and over 700 embezzlement convictions over the past eight years.[57] Stolen equipment includes millions of rubles worth of goods ranging from bullet-proof vests, boots, and diesel fuel to soap, toilet paper, and socks.[58] The data from these convictions likely represents a small subset of corruption in the Russian military. The governor of the Russian Mari El Republic acknowledged the Russian MoD's supply problems impacting mobilized troops, promised to fix the problems, and attributed the challenges to ignorance of the mobilized men's needs on October 9.[59] ISW, Oct 10, 2022. attributed the challenges to ignorance of the mobilized men's needs Anyone else think that's a problematic statement? I'm assuming he's a civilian official and may not be correct or understand what he's saying or nuance might have been lost in translation, but I read that as "we don't know what equipment mobilising soldiers need to be given". If that's an issue, then wiping out corruption tomorrow won't make much difference. I'm assuming that the quote may be slightly out context and refers to not knowing what stocks they actually have – also not good. That is a staggering conviction record. But the cynic in me wonders just how many of those are back or still in the Russian army. Also, the Russian justice system doesn't seem big on rehabilitation. With a war on and the potential to write stuff down as combat losses I wonder just how much stuff is still going missing? |
