Bets on the outcome? Who thinks 99% in favor of being annexed by Russia? Who thinks 98% in favor? Bets on numbers over 100% will be allowed. Bets on numbers below 85% will be laughed at. |

Never be too sure of yourself or of your predicted outcome. You just may end up eating crow. |

It will be about 103.5% in favour of annexation. They are Russians, so it will be the result of a Markov process, a stochastic process. Some inaccuracy is inevitable. Their nature, of the beast. People that don't understand fast enough will be offered a short Makarov process, 9mm. The cause for numbers over 100% is, some will vote twice to make sure it is recorded that they voted. After all, people who did not vote could make themselves suspicious to the authorities. So they will try to avoid that under all circumstances. Oh, I forgot the 6.2% against annexation they need to get the result below 100%. Most of these 6.2% already 'disappeared' in polling stations like 'Isoljazija' anyway. |

I read today that a leaked Russian commission report about the Crimean referendum said turnout was something like 30% and votes for joining Russia only about 50% of that! |

77% would be a number they can say is plausible? Shame on them. martin |

I don't think they need to go to 77% to feel believable. They're comfortable with numbers above 95%. link |

I've heard they are taking the names of those NOT in favor of being under the thumb of Putin's Russia, which may slightly skew the results. |

The collaborating officials are concerned about public gatherings for open voting in many areas, so they go from door to door with armed escorts. The problem is that most people refuse to open their doors to the collaborators. The occupiers have plenty of blank forms to complete on their behalf. |

The occupiers have plenty of blank forms to complete on their behalf I asked myself lately about the concrete logistics of rigged referendums in second class, third world dictatorships. Do they have two sets of forms and isn't that too complicated? One for the people to fill out and that is discarded later and a second one that is filled out by minions that are at least capable of reading and writing? As the Russian in charge, how do you make sure that the two don't get mixed up by mistake? |

I believe the entire election is being held on the fourth floor of varied and sundry buildings next to an open window. It is regrettable but those stubborn few that insist on voting for remaining in Ukraine will likely have a tragically accidental fall, or drowning. |
