Toying around with American Cavalry on Rocket Powered Pogo sticks..

This is pure genius!

I would locate them somewhere in the Australian Outback, fighting boxing kangaroo insurgents.

So,who makes them?

Women with big (you-know-what's) on pogo-sticks!
Should be able to bounce into close range easily…

The Royal Australian Mounted Constabulary was originally conceived as a kangaroo-riding police force. Problems with pugilistic mounts set them on horseback for several years. In 1863, an American inventor pitched his fantastic rocket-assisted jumping stick to the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce, having failed to impress the federal army back home. The RAMC, however, understood the concept instantly and placed an initial order for 250 jumping sticks.

And with that cash infusion of $25,000 USD, Stark Industries was born.

The Melbourne Chamber of Commerce has always been an excitable lot. I am tempted to work on some RAMC but there are so many rivet counters out there…

So,who makes them?

Joe has said elsewhere:
"They will be a new unit for my Venus 1888 range at Dragon Bait Miniatures. They have been on the table awhile. I intend them to represent Buffalo soldiers on Venus."

I personally question their utility on Cytherean soggy ground… ;->=

<<I personally question their utility on Cytherean soggy ground… ;->=>>

Dr Stark handled this issue and many more with his exceptionally clever and quite top secret patent. Secrecy is of course required for what could be the fun if even the Austro-Hungarians are wildly hopping about…?

Dummo about that…

I've a few Prussian gunners quite happy to see them hopping about, as long as they were calling the tune.

Yes these look great, and I suddenly feel the need to find some too. Thought they might be Eureka (eg Pax Limpopo) but can't see them there… so Cotton Eye Joe, who makes them?

phil bagnall24 Dec 2022 7:49 a.m. PST

Doh. Read the whole thread. Now I see the answer thanks
