This was the April 16 attack up Reichstrasse 1 by 74th Gds Rifle Rgt to the slope in front of Seelow. There were a lot of Soviet units involved in the game but were understrength. Each Russian player had a weak company of 2 2-section platoons with 2 MMG teams. There was also a Engineer platoon of 2 sections and 2 additional MMGs and a FO for some 82mm mortars. They were promised armor support but that was hung up in traffic and didn't arrive for 5 turns of the 'Time' card. Since there wasn't a lot of anything but sitting and exchanging shots, I took the Germans. I had some elements of the 76th Pzgrd Rgt. 2 platoons of 2 sections each and 2 MMG teams and 2 PaK40s I also had a FO for 2 tubes of 82mm mortars. A company of Volkstrumm was in entrenchments on the heights.

Everybody loves the terrain. Everybody loves the look of the game. I'll vote "ditto" on all of that. Really does look great.

Oh, and I include the miniatures in that love for the "look of the game".

But I also love the way you do your scenarios. This game just has such an authentic feel to it, in terms not only of the visual presentation but also the tactical challenges that the gamers faced.

I hope the game was as much of a treat to play, as the AAR is a treat to read!

Bravo!
