Howdy,
Some photos from the yesterday's (9/17) initial playtest of On the Road to Bastogne. The game planned for Friday evening at Fall-IN (7pm). A game using Frank Chadwick's rules underdevelopment, Breakthrough – Decision in Europe.
On December 16th, the German launched the offensive that became known as "The Battle of the Bulge." The 101st Airborne Division was tasked with holding the town of Bastogne, a key road junction in the Ardennes. The commander of the US 3rd Army, George Patton, tasked III Corps with relieving the siege of Bastogne. III Corps consisted of three divisions, the 4th Armored Division, the 26th Infantry Division, and the 80th Infantry Division. The 4th Armored led the attack. The scenario portrays the multi-day attack of the 4th Armored from December 22nd to 26th.

The playtest was successful, found a few tweaks. I'll be following up with a 2nd playtest on the 3rd weekend of October (10/15), noon at Saga Games in Frederick, Maryland.
Ponder on,
