Seems a bit stupid but civil services are very good at a particular brand of stupid. I had a friend with key skills in a particular department whom the government body in question wouldn't pay more and would only contemplate promotion with a secondment under their belt, but because of their special status they couldn't take secondments. They transferred to another department. *Slow handclap* Though I can see the reason to push retention of cybersecurity-trained people over other areas since that is a huge growth area everywhere. |

Especially these Spec Ops, etc. types. These troops are needed to go to war … all of them Cyber, CCTs, PJs, etc. don't forget College loan vote buy…. I mean bailouts. Another place to get $ that could keep out USAF, etc. strong & combat ready.

Looks like the USAF will not cut pay for special troops. Someone must have come to their senses !
