lovely stuff, I have not seen a set of rules with Ottoman cav having anything but sword and bow, yet most of my figures have lances!

Oh wow! What superb pictures, Barry 👍. Inspirational stuff. Would love to see more pictures of this so will look forward to the forthcoming 4Play sets. I like the look of the skirmishing horse on the hex bases. Looks an interesting way of representing the swirling mass of mounted archers. Where should I look for more details on this?

Thank you All gentlemen. 4Play stuff coming soon. Re: hex bases – this has been something I have used for over 20 years for light cavalry and has been incorporated into the rules mechanisms for Beneath the Lily Banners. The unit is treated as a normal 6 model squadron and fights accordingly although the light cavalry rules allow for easier evading and reforming by poorer close combat capability. The also have the option for fire and evade. Makes them bloody annoying, but of course, that was the point!
