So my July posting for my blog didn't happen, and neither did August.
To fix this, I morphed them both into one, and finally got around to posting it.
It's a bit of "everything", including COVID, Western Buildings, The Battleship Texas, and a tree coming down.

Always great to read your blog, especially the Bongolesia stuff.

That was a really sweet picture of the USS Texas. Saw her many years ago when I was working in the Merchant Marine and had a few hours to spare when my ship was waiting for cargo. Amazing to see something like that.

And….my Basic Training photo wasn't nearly as nice as yours and that was…1987…. but I thought being a Rifleman was more fun. Dumb idea, kid…

Now I'm a grumpy old Warrant Officer in the Vermont Army National Guard. Still dumb, but with maple flavouring.
