I recently bought a copy of "Setting the Scene" Volume 2 by Pat Smith (Wargaming with Silver Whistle blog). The book covers how to make Mediterranean terrain and Pat provides an easy step-by-step set of instructions for making a wide variety of terrain. I decided to give it a try and made a pair of mountains that are connected by a stone bridge. I never thought that I could make such nice terrain pieces but I am very happy with the results. Now I want to make more hills and mountains1 Click on the link to my blog for more about my terrain making. link

Fantastic piece! I used the same book to make a rocky cliff face for a fortified coastal tower for peninsular wargaming. The techniques are well explained and the result far exceeded my expectations. And I love the web page -- some of the best terrain eye candy out there for AWI and Napoleonics. |
