Yesterday I did a solo play test of my Abu Klea scenario that I wil use at Historicon 2023. The game pretty much followed history as the British won and the Dervish almost broke into the square. The game was played with 54mm metal and plastic figures and was quite the spectacle to see.

Spectacular! Perhaps I missed it, but I don't know what set "Colonial BAR" is. Thanks.

Here you go 79th. It came after the orders of battle.

"RULES USED: Colonial Wars variant of Bill Protz's "BAR" rules. These rules feature big battalions, saving throws and lots of D6 dice."

I'm quite sure the distinguished gentlemen playing the game wore formal attire and had sufficient strong beverages at hand to stiffen their resolve. Beautiful game in the grand manner!!! Three cheers and one lusty Huzzah!

@79thPA : Bill's "Batailles dans l'Ancien Regime (B.A.R for short).we use the same mechanics of movement, firing, melee and morale across a number of historical periods. There are variants for Napoleonics and 19th Century Colonial wars.
