Size?

That's 6mm (actually 8mm high) made by Henry Turner

Thank you. Well painted.

Egads don't tell @von Winterfeldt, but I don't see any necks on them either. They look great I was just mimicking a reader here who picked on my POD 40mm Saxon's :)

PS

I also really like your choice of a light tan for the base. It really helps the figures pop.

kevin smoot07 Sep 2022 10:48 a.m. PST

They upscale to 15mm nicely too

I tend to game in 40mm, hmm I wonder ….

Nicely done for 6mm, congrats!

Thank you very much for all the feedback. The quality of the 3D sculpts and the printer really help a lot.

Great paint job.

Pros,
Charming figures , lots of detail.
A slight toytown feel in a nice way.

Against
A little rigid , legs short and faces slightly heavy set ( nose too broad)

Thank you. With regards to your points about 'Against', do bear in mind that these are 6mm figures photographed with a powerful zoom lens. It makes the figures look like 15mm. If you print these figures at 15mm then the horizontal dimensions (width and length) are scaled less than the height. This makes the figures appear thinner and more in proportion for that scale. All that being said, Henry Turner has developed a particular style as well. The 'slight toy town feel in a nice way' is deliberate.

The flocking is so important with 6mm, and you did a nice job. It looks like Woodland scenics earth blend? Any other secrets?

Well I have one serious issue with the business model. I am seriously thinking of trying this scale for that really linear look however.

1. He wants $30 USD for the files for a single army
2. He doesn't list what you get

I can get a great set of ACW from Eskice miniatures for $15 USD and he lists and shows in pictures what you get.
