I wish I could see it as it's being towed to Galveston. I think the ideal place to see it would be at the Lynchburg Ferry landing just outside the San Jacinto battlefield; the news article says that the ferry will be closed during she ship's passage. |

They started the process around 3:30 am this morning and she got underway around 6 am. KHOU was having some fantastic video of her. She's gorgeous heading out to water… Part of me wants to say "There she goes, out to hunt more Japanese…" But instead, thank God, she's peacefully going to drydock in Galveston. |
