For many years now we have tried to get an annual Alamo game at MillenniumCon Texas – only seems right to have the Battle of the Alamo played at Texas' biggest wargaming convention. This year it has finally happened.

That looks great. I have always been fascinated with John Wayne's Alamo film as well. Here is my attempt at the battle:

Everything looks great. Just looked at the pictures guys. So in any of your refights, do the Texans ever win? Serious question. If so, how? Thanks

"Texans will almost certainly lose…" Just didn't have any real Texans playing the game.

Seriously, a very nice set up. I played in the 1980's version built by Rich Hasenauer (of Fire and Fury Fame), and it was a blast! Hope yours goes well!

Looks very appealing to this Texan. Sure hope some brings a couple of Apache helos with infrared so our boys have a chance!

Someone used to run the Alamo at Historicon. The rules were on the back of a ruler. Anyone know where you can get a copy of those rules?

And your miniatures look fantastic

I showed this to a friend of mine who is a big Alamo buff. He pointed out one thing that he says every gamer gets wrong. The east wall could not be attacked, as there was a giant water runoff catch basin there. A bit like trying to attack across a lake.
Otherwise, your whole set up is absolutely spectacular, well done!

Very impressive! I'm working on my own Alamo game for GaryCon March 2023, using the Vatican Enterprises 25mm Alamo model, vintage 2002 (with some conversions and augmentations) -- it's not nearly as accurate as Old Glory's is. But I spent a year painting it, plus all the time and money to collect and paint 20mm plastic soldiers to place in it, so I'm stuck.
