"Our battalion, reinforced by Bauer's tanks, occupied the city and the railway station in one sudden blow. Two hours later, a reconnaissance party sent northeast of the station reported enemy tank and vehicle movements. As stated, the enemy is concentrating its infantry and tank units on a larger scale in the area of our next offensive zone. We will try to hold the border area and meet the Russians at the train station; however, due to the short preparation time, we will not be able to create a deep defense and protect this area for a long time…"
