I'm looking for a 28mm armored Elephant (metal only). Ideally, it should not have a howdah and have a rider sitting on the elephant's neck. Any suggestions? |

It might depend what you want it for. A Seleucid, a Ghaznavid, a Timurid or a Sassanian armoured elephant would all look quite different – not the elephant so much, but the armour :~) |

It's actually for a fantasy army I'm planning. That's why I need one without a howdah, fully armored, and a single rider on the elephant's neck (so I can do some conversion on the rider). |

The one from Warlord Games for the Macedonian army is pretty good. I'm not sure if the SPQR one is the same version sold in the Hail Caesar style boxes, which is s combination of plastic and metal. Some of the SPQR figures are made with that funky soft plastic and can be a paint o assemble and paint. After that another good one is by Aventine. The Old Glory elephants are definitely smaller than most. |

I think the Avertine elephants are being converted to resin; the Warlord elephant in their Macedonian range is metal and resin and I think might be what you are looking for – it has a howdah but hopefully can be assembled without I have an Old Glory elephant – all metal but as noted a somewhat small elephant – it also has a howdah and is not armoured (Persian) – but Old Glory does have an armoured elephant which has a howdah that hopefully you can assemble without |
