Finished off this war party of twelve Perry figures to operate as allies for my British forces for Sharp Practice games (although they are versatile enough to have other uses).

Sharp Practice has them operating in groups of twelve so the Perry sets of 6 figures work well except it leaves me short of a figure to be a leader. Rather than buy another set of 6 for a single figure I thought I'd try a bit of old-school kitbashing. Using a torso from the British infantry set I've added bare arms and a head from the Mahdist Ansar set. Details like hair, moccasins, bag and powder horn were sculpted with Milliput. I'm thinking he will be a sort of Joseph Brandt type character. Just needs a prime and paint now.

Beautifully done, I'm quite sure they will cause great fear and concern along the frontier!

Top notch painting and great conversion.

Popped some paint on the leader figure and I think he's come out okay. Something quite satisfying about raiding the spares box and doing a bit of old school sculpting with milliput.
