A light snow was falling and the Russians were ready when the Germans prepared to start an offensive to infiltrate deeper into the city of Stalingrad. The 76.2mm Zis 3 guns were deployed in strategic positions and flanking KV-1's were supporting a handful of snipers dialed in from high in the buildings.

The dice were rolling hot for the Red Army as they were dropping buildings while setting others on fire forcing the invaders to abandon their cover and it appeared the Germans had bit off more than they could chew. Then things changed…
