To be very honest the Scots flip flopped (and back again) allegiance so many times, most of the units that I have represented fought on both sides.

I'm just back from a holiday in the Scottish Highlands. Of course I paid attention to the scenery from a wargaming set up point of view; the land is mostly mid-brown, with overlays of dark green and heather, few trees if any, no hedgerows, or bushes. If you can make your battlefield rather barren, you've got the idea!
