It looks as if they also dug a hole in the tooth to hold the stone. It seems very painful. Perhaps it was both a sign of nobility and valor. |

You can find images of present day people with gold teeth and other decorations, purely for fashion, following a trend or trying to start one. But these images just go to show that whatever people think is new, original and trendy, has been done before by the ancients. |
