A new addition to my 20mm Japanese force for Chain of Command. The gun and crew are from SHQ.

SHQ is not my usual first choice for figures as I find them slimmer than other ranges that I use like AB. However when placed altogether in a gun crew and not adjacent to those other figures I find you don't notice the difference in sizes. Regardless they always paint up well and look the part.

Also added a few of their casualties:

I've been agonizing over Japanese Artillery Brown lately. I like yours. What paints did you use to achieve it?

PS: Lovely job on the grass!

Thanks. I used Khaki and then gave it a wash (Agrax Earthshade or Army Painter Soft Tone, can't remember).

That's a great looking piece.

Excellent! BTW which brand of khaki? Vallejo Model Color?

Great work – I have also found khaki with a wash very useful – I used Tamiya

Yes, VMC, but I think any other Khaki would get you there.
