…The estimated losses show the Russian military may be making steep sacrifices as it executes an invasion ordered by President Vladimir Putin that has included failed logistics and supply systems, as well as the bombing of civilians. The Russian assault continues but has now mostly bogged down in a brutal artillery war in the east… Military: link |

You get Military.com too ! I saw that "body count" … Oh well … But 80,000 is a whole lot in the short amount of time the conflict has been going. My take aways ; *Modern weapons are deadly …more deadly than some would have thought. *The poor training, motivation, tactics, log support and leadership, etc. Is costing the Russians … as they don't know how to fight modern warfare. *Deadly weapons + military incompetence = a bloodbath, so to speak. |

I read that something like 3/4 of the Russian military has been used in the Ukraine? |

However this current conflict ends, Russia is going to be all new levels of paranoid for the next 20 years about any potential military activities near their borders. |

I wonder if their military will double down on their failed structure, logistics and overall incompetence or undergo some serious reforms? |

Until this ends … the US/West/NATO needs to continue to attrite the Russians by sending weapons etc. to the Ukraine. This is chance for the West to really make the Russian forces less and less effective and in turn smaller. |

quote "However this current conflict ends, Russia is going to be all new levels of paranoid for the next 20 years about any potential military activities near their borders." unquote I will be not surprised at ALL, if Russia's erstwhile ally, China, doesn't take advantage of Russia's weakened state at some point, and invade Siberia (lots of natural resources there). |

This is an interesting thought. I have not agreed with some here that China is Russia's ally. Xi will solidify his political power next month. Then he can take a look around. Self interest is all that matters to strongman rulers. |
