Here's my latest -- In April I sent a package of gaming stuff to a guy in the Canary Islands. He had done everything up front to make sure the package would make it through customs. The package made it through Spanish customs in Madrid no problem, but when the package made it to the Canaries, it sat in local customs for a month before they contacted the guy to fill out required forms. There was a problem with some info that held it up another 2 weeks. When that was resolved, customs went to get the package, but they couldn't find it. Turns out it had been returned and is winging its way back to me here in the US.

I'm hoping US Customs doesn't slap some fee on it for me to accept it.

Fun!

Yea, things can get pretty "interesting" and frustrating at times.

I once made a purchase from the UK and it sat for 3+ weeks there. Never made it out of the warehouse/customs apparently, so I canceled the order when it never arrived and I found out about the issue.

I didn't know about its status until after I canceled and asked for a refund.

I'm from Canary Islands and ordered to UK. My parcel was in Madrid at customs for almost four months but finally arrived! But now seems things are back to normal and parcels take less than a month to arrive.

Now that's funny!
