I would expect her to have threaded the rope through the hole at the end of the sword handle, so that she could use the sword like a kusari-gama, or, I guess, kusari-ken. That would extend her reach so that she could stay at longer range while flying. She could also use it like a pendulum against ground targets. The sword itself is ridiculously oversized, even for a supernatural being. I may be prejudiced because the shape of the blade reminds me of a pocketknife I had as a boy, and that's not a good look for a sword to me. It just evokes sharpening pencils. Nice paint job, especially the wings. Interesting pose, like she's just completed a big wing stroke to get velocity. |

The paint job is fine. I wish there were more images. In this one shot, I can't tell if the blade size is distorted by the lens. And the wings sculpted in this downstroke position look unnnatural, but maybe they look okay from another angle. On CoolMiniOrNot this is credited as "Reaper Female Winged Warrior". I searched the Reaper miniatures USA site but could not find the same figure. |

Seeing more of the figure would be helpful.
