An Additional unit for my House Stark army, I am undecided if I want to add static grass or snow to the bases

Very nice! I usually avoid snow. But I like static grass

I think you've done a nice job. I personally dislike static grass.

How does this line of figures match up scale wise with historicals like Gripping Beast or Fireforge?

I saw on your Tully post the horseman was huge compared to your older figures.

Legend of Doom10 Jan 2023 5:18 a.m. PST

I don't own any of the Fireforge or Gripping Beast current ranges ( I have some of the older Norman infantry) so not really able to answer your question. I Measured the archers standing upright and found him to be 38mm from the feet to the tip of the helmet.

As a comparison SOIAF foot figures are a head taller than my Warlord Roman archers and Perry Agincourt figures, I think you could get away with them deployed in separate units.
You must have quite a collection of these figures now Legend? Are you going to Salute?
I never knew you 40k?

Legend of Doom10 Jan 2023 8:06 a.m. PST

40K was a roll of the dice; it has a huge player base and is well represented on the club scene. I wanted to get back into regular club gaming against different opponents so figured it was that or nothing.

I bought the rules a codex and a starter set, Got it all painted played one game and realised it was not for me. I need to sell off the rules and codex before they are obsolete.

I've got the following ASOIAF figures

Lannister- 24 halbadiers, 24 swordsmen, 24 Mountain's men, 4 Lannister knights of casteerley rock. 12 crossbow. Lannisters are hard to use as they do not seem to work well. The recent revision toned down some of their upgrades and the army is just not effective.

Stark

24 berzerkers, 24 sword swords ( utter garbage) 12 archers, 12 tully swords, 12 karstark spearmen,
To do, 12 archers, 12 kartstark spearmen and 8 Stark outiders ( so -so)

House Targayraen

4 units of Dothraki

The army has taken a back burner but I need to get back on point with the figures. Would love to get some Unsullied pike, fantastic troops especially with their unit attachment and Danayrus. I have had games where they got charged, used their set for charge defence ability to get in a free attack, Daenayrus then takes the crossed swords, attaches to them allowing them to re-roll failed hits and a free attack, then used their attachment for another attack ( stacking with Danny), the crossed swords for third attack and finally
their own attack so 28 attacks and 21 of them are re-rolleable. My usual opponent just glared at me and said I never want to play this game again. Charging unarmoured berserkers who have a 5+ save into the front of a pike block seems an odd choice.
Not sure if I will bother with SALUTE, Crocodile Games may be there and I have found an opponent for that game , fancy getting some fantasy figures, or Amazons email me ,same email as I used to have
