The Perrys for me. The Fantasy Tribe Citadel range is still my favorite. Perfect size, not over-the-top but full of character. |

The Citadel Tribes dwarves were brilliant. They now sell for silly money on online auction sites. Keep hoping that Foundry might resurrect them |

Ignoring the date parameters, I'd say the Middle Earth range of dwarves is really good. This is just one from the Hobbit line:

Royston. Yes, they sculpted pretty much the entirety of the early Citadel range. My favorite miniatures of all time are their Fantasy Tribe goblins (originally called gnolls) – contemporaneous with the FT dwarves. |
