I like Oathmark or other fantasy mass combat games, but I often give the bad guys a lot of creative energy and time and money and the good guys that I fight against them with seem to suffer from lack of development. For a couple of years I've had two bad guy armies -- Undead Oathbreakers and Orcs/Gobbos combined. For the good guys, a mostly finished Dwarven army. I've finally balanced things somewhat by adding a new unauthorized "Woodland" army of Halflings, Fauns, Centaurs, Brownies and (eventually) some Wood elf archers, Ents and Bears. Here's a progress post on my project blog: link |

That looks like a fun army. |

I was hoping to add another "tiny" unit like pixies or something but the only ones I see are roughly the size other 28mm fantasy creatures. I want TINY pixies or fairies or whatever, kind of like the ones in the Bakshi movie Wizard. I have a couple of bear figures already, and want to add like a forest wizard and some kind of leader figure. Maybe an Ent or a small unit of Wood Elf miniatures. Still looking for the right figures for those. |

Looks like a great army to fight with/against! Would stack them up against my Amazon horde any day |

If you desire Elves who are shorter, and smaller framed, than Humans, I would recommend Caesar 1/72 Fantasy Elves. I am painting mine up as Drow, but that is just me. These plastic figures can easily be used for making other creatures -- like Driders! Zoom in on the Drider to see the painted Caesar Elf upper torso. I glued her onto a cheap, Halloween toy spider. Works for me. Fun game of 2e BattleSystem Skirmish. She was 'working' for a Red Dragon, sneaking up on the hapless (but ultimately victorious) band of Adventurers. It did not end well for her… There is also the Red Box Alliance fantasy stuff: Dwarves, Elves, Centaurs, Anubis Army, etc. Between Red Box and Caesar, you have quite a smorgasbord to choose from! Cheers! |

Cool army! I've come to really enjoy oathmark, as you can ‘reskin' it to any fantasy floats your boat. It gives me the ‘old school' vibe, while still being a modern rules set…. |

Ral Partha Legacy makes small pixies. Quite nice. Thanks John |

The King of the Orcs does not think that the Dwarves are the good guys. Plenty of Orc widows and orphans agree. |
