Busy day in the Shed:

These are expensive K&M trees I own. I've ordered a bucket load of cheap Chinese trees & will use them after I improve them.

Ochoin, they look good, but I'm missing something--probably pretty obvious. Why are the trees going in Sabot bases? Is the base the total area of the woods? If not, why not just plunk the trees down in the designated wood, and move them around as required?

Stryderg23 Jul 2022 8:48 a.m. PST

I'm guessing that the sabot bases can be used for minis, too.
They do look good. The trees look like trees without being broad and top heavy.

That's my guess as well.

Thanks for the kind comment.

Actually, for flexibility & stability.
I can swap the type of vegetation from large bush to (relative) forest giant. It also looks good – hopefully- and is easier to store.

And, yes, probably overkill.

Thank you, ochoin. Makes sense. I use a somewhat broader base for individual trees or clusters of microscale, and bin them by rough size. But then I don't use shrubbery.

Not sure where overkill starts in miniature warfare. I suspect normal people would put most of what we do in that category.

Don't use shubbery?!

"When you have found the shubbery, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with … a herring."

Stryderg23 Jul 2022 7:31 p.m. PST

Ah, I hadn't thought of other vegetation. That makes sense and is probably easier to store.
