Very interesting. I assume you are using 20mm figures? Would like to hear more. |

Hal, Yes the kits are all 1/72 scale, I have a substantial Japanese force for the 2nd Sino-Japanese Ware and for the Nomonhan Incident opposed by Russian and Chinese forces. Unfortunately, just like minis, kits are easier to acquire than they are to build and paint. I plan on expanding into the Spanish Civil War and 1939-1940 with other kits (the Finns spring to mind) The working rough-draft of the rules are here link By the way, thanks for all those years that you were the torch-bearer for MWAN. I treasure my old copies! |

What a neat project. The Sino/Japanese war is the neglected child of WWII and wargaming in general for that matter. Hope your adding P-40s. |

Old Contemptible, I already have one assembled and ready to go, plus a couple of Curtiss Hawk IIs and a P-26. The Chinese air force was an odd collection of aircraft from all over the world, this gives me the chance to build a wide assortment of models. |

An interesting and neglected air war. |

Mostly I just love the look of 1930's aircraft; sesqui-planes and spats are just cool. Plus some really whacky ideas. Lots of "what if" scenarios too; what if France had mobilized over the re-militarization of the Rhineland, what if the Czechs had resisted the Munich Accord, what if the League of Nations had actually intervened after the Rape of Nanking? A naval war in the Pacific in the 1930's would have been a very different thing. |
