Could someone point me to a good reference for the uniforms of the West Indian Regiment c1810 to 1815 please. Particularly a rear view as the back of the coatee is a bit of a mystery. Many Thanks |

As to rear of the coat, "The 1802 regulations described the jacket as short tailed, without turnbacks but 'cut to slope of behind',…" Plate 46. Wellington's Army, Hamilton Smith. The three references I used for the 1st and 5th WI regiments are contained in my blog for your perusal. link link |
