Just a sneak preview of a 1/144th scale Eastern Front sceanrio I'm dialing in for hosting in a couple weeks.

Lots of new 12mm stuff will be hitting the table for this one, and hoping it'll become a summer series of games with the local gang.

It looks excellent, FlyXwire! Great looking terrain and very well painted minis combined together.

I hope to see more pictures like this soon. Thanks!

Thanks Cpt. Pete!

I'll revive the thread when we've played the first encounter, and post those pics here if they turn out.

I am looking forward to seeing this when you are ready, FlyXwire!

Meanwhile, I plan to do a solo game of Mein Panzer in 6mm set on the Russian Front in 1943 right after Kursk. It has been about 4 years since I have either ran or played in a game and I need to get back to it.

Pete, they say it's like riding a bike – and gettin' back in the saddle again. :)))

What's really lost over time is the 'gamer's edge' (if going to multiplayer presentations again – no one remembers their tactics anymore, and so the scenarios need to be straight forward).

Hey, I'm using the assaults west of Kharkov around Bogodukhov and Akhtyrka in mid-August '43, as the basis for my planned encounters. The operational history will give me the bearings to create a series of scenarios on, while retaining the tactical latitude for their progression (and the previous attrition results might fold into, and inform the context of the next encounter).

Actually, following the game 'history' as it unfolds on the board, is where I can get my joy (if the series of encounters plays out ahead).

Count me in among the members of the peanut gallery! I am avidly looking forward to reports on the games and the scenarios -- not being above steeling other gamers' good ideas…

Good luck, and good gaming.
