This year the International Naval Wargames Day falls on Saturday 6th August. If you've not been around for an INaWarD before, this is a day where naval wargamers around the world play a naval game at home, at the club etc. and then we all throw in our experiences on social media, wargaming websites etc. to promote the naval side of the hobby. Have fun and sink a battleship or two!

Sounds great! I wish I could attend, but you are a very, VERY long way away. Will have to use your rules for a game at the local club or at home on the day. Perhaps even two of them. |

Thanks for the heads up. I'll pencil in a galley game. This was my Actium (in 1:600) battle in full swing using GMT War Galley rules. It's the only naval I have but, it's enough to get my feet wet.
Since this I rebased them so that a galley fits into one hex; and I'm now using Fleet of Battle by James Roach (as published in Wargames Illustrated way back when) converted from free movement to hex movement. |

I'm likely to be a bit preoccupied that day as it is our golden wedding 'do'. I'll add a couple of sea shanties to the playlist in honour of the day !!! |
