Hello everyone,

Please, I am looking for a rule specifically for the 1879 zulu war but dating from before 1976, do you know where to find it?

Thanks.

I believe that" The Sword and the Flame" rules written by Larry Brim was first published in 1978…those are my favorite rules for gaming Zulus.

You might be thinking of 'The Colonial Wars' by T J Halsall (Newbury) which features a Zulu and a British soldier on the front cover, or 'The 1879 Zulu War' by Richard Tory.

Don Featherstone published a number of mimeographed rule sets in the late 1960s available through Wargamers Newsletter. The Colonial version had on the cover a scene showing Stanley Baker from Zulu. I found an on line version

Thank you all, I'm looking for a rules published before 1976, not after 1975 and for "25mm" miniatures. Please check the years of edition,

The original Sword and Flame was published by Yaquinto in 1977. It has an odd very deterministic casualty table rather than rolling a dice per figure

Thank you but, I'm looking for a rules published before 1976, not after 1975 and for "25mm" miniatures.

Strange that there is nothing before 1976 for this conflict which has always interested British wargamers so much.
