Does anyone have any recommendations for the best match in Vallejo paints for British khaki and grey tunics for the first Sudan War in 1884 and the khaki for the Second Sudan War in 1898? I understand that the earlier khaki was yellower than the later.

For khaki I use the sand brown, inkwash and highlight with the cork brown. The grey is a soft blue grey.

Thanks Cavcrazy. As I'm working with small figures I may go a bit lighter (or scarlet!). I found some Tamiya Light Blue XF23 which I think is a good match for the grey.

A revision. My colour advisor has told me that the Tamiya XF23 is green not grey so please ignore.

I'm using Vallejo Model Colour Blue Grey Pale for the grey, and Khaki Grey, with some Humbrol 26 Khaki.

Cheers

JJ, I like that color for your KRRC. Great job on those. I have found that coming up with a reasonable color for uniforms can be one of the biggest challenges.
